Operation: Archer

Storyline:
A break away republic in the southern province of Genevieve has caught the attention of the international community.  There is a real possibly for the birth of a new country…

24th June 2012 (Sunday)
Location: DL private field
Staging will be at 11am (Gate opens at 10am)
Game starts at 12 noon until 5pm

Cost before June 10th: $25
Cost after June 10th: $30
Supporting members rate: $20
Entry is non-refundable

No personal ammo limit
.68, .43 and Firststrike allowed
BYOP or purchase field paint on event day
Paint for sale will be provided by Gio of Canadian paintball
.68 cal and Firststrike will be available for purchase (Sorry no .43 available)

All markers welcome, as long as they meet the following requirements:
Only mag fed, 50 round tac caps(cyclone & ripclip) and 50 round hoppers (or less capacity)
A ratio of 1-5 for gunner on each team (Gunner is only player allowed to use standard hopper and full auto)
Gunner positions will be [u]drawn randomly [/u]for each team
Gunner must carry ammo satchel throughout all missions

No smoke grenades permitted
No rubber knives allowed
No powder balls (unless using .43 pistol, and let us know)
Paint grenades and sound grenades are permitted
Only HPA available (12 gram CO2 will be available)

NOTE: tickets will be made available at the local paintball stores (which ones will be announced shortly)

Please get your ticket ahead of time, it will save you money and will guarantee a position in the game .  Walkons will be welcome.

Intel Alert- Scenario

Keep you eyes open for news about our up coming milsim limited ammo scenario.  Plans are for Sunday June 24th.  Event to be held out our secret training field.

The scenario will be catered towards mag-fed and limited ammo hoppers.  Each player will have his/her role on their team to support the mission.  There is plenty of room for snipers to roam.

More information will be released as it becomes available.  Mark the day on your calendar and tell your friends.

We had a very successful day out at the field, testing some ideas for future scenarios.  The test squad was able to find most of the objectives, without knowing the lay of the land.  Here’s just a few of the pics from the day:

We’ve now spent several weekends at our field and the work sure shows.  There are new bunker and plans for some other structures like bridges and a boat dock.

…. Now we need to make sure the field is ready for some great scenarios we have planned for this year.  Our scenario “test day” is planned for 29th April 2012.

So is quite obvious spring is here …. and with it we are faced with getting our field up and running.  On April 1st (no not a joke) we’re having a work day to our private field.  Basic clean up and a chance to meet up with new faces.  BBQ will be offered after the clean up.  Don’t worry, its not really hard work.  Check us out on our Facebook Page for more info.

Spring is here …

With the warm weather and melting snow, we’re all itching to get out and enjoy the 2012 season.  This year will be memorable with all the new products being released from MILSIG industries Canada and MILSIG.com  I know for a fact that the team will be proud owners of the new equipment, and be using some of it at SKYLINE nation game in July.  More info on the event will be posted a bit closer to the event day.  If anyone is interested in joining the team at the event in Alberta, check out the posts on www.milsimteampaintball.ca .

Keep in mind that Devils Legion is always hiring new members, no matter what time of the year.  Although its usually just before the start of the season that we are trying to increase our numbers.  Feel free to post questions about applying for a position on the team.

We came …. saw ….. and educated the public about paintball.  Members of the team spent the weekend promoting the sport to the public at the Winnipeg Comic and Toy expo, March 3-4 2012.  We not only had a good time but got to meet people interested in mag fed paintball.  Many had no idea paintball had been developed as far as it is.  For others it was just the sheer volume of different mods available.

The expo (and the Comic con, later in the year) is the perfect place to get the word out about the sport.  Why?  Well its simple: milsim paintball goes hand in hand with the world comics and gaming, which is what the event was all about.

Most if not all the interested people (mostly younger people) knew all about military gaming such as Call of Duty and made the connection to milsim paintball.  Now they could be a part of the game… for real.

Next expo is in November 3-4 2012 Central Canada Comic Con

Yes, that’s correct … the famous PARADIGM is back in its second design.  We are excited to get the first look at this legendary marker.  First Strike capable and a new spool valve system are just a few of the improvements.

Straight from Nelson himself:

1.) The PARADIGM and the M17 do NOT have the same receiver.  The “M” in the M-Series stands for “MACHINED” … as in CNC machined receiver and shroud.

2.) The M17 is NOT a replacement for the K-Series, it’s a completely NEW platform.

3.) Both markers are FS capable.

4.) Your existing mags will work with both of these markers to feed paintballs, the bodies are the same, you only need to change the magazine heads.

5.) The FS mag is uses a different body, but will hold PBs as well.

6.) Existing K / M Series markers can’t be upgraded to shoot FS, and there’s no receiver swap available

Our team will be showcasing our gear at the up coming Winnipeg Toy and comic convention. The 2012 Winnipeg Comic and Toy Expo is coming March 3rd and 4th.  Starts at 10am on Saturday and end on Sunday 6pm.
